I have a W220 here which has a fault EZS I think, since the Airbag is complaining that it doesn't have the same VIN than in EZS.
I already know that it is not the Airbag CU which is faulty. So it must be the EZS since it randomly started displaying a wrong mileage a while ago when it was cold over night.
Two Ways possible to fix I think:
- Either replace EZS (Get a used one, solder chips from old to new, R2 Chip should be the Mileage problem)
- Deactivate VIN Check in Airbag CU
Does anyone have a better solution than these? Reflowing the chips maybe? Since I dont know which part of the EZS could cause these issues, I would appreciate some help.

Hello, a friend had a failed DL501 Gen 1 and fitted a DL501 Gen 2 gearbox, so direct clone is not possible since Gen1 has TC1766 processor and Gen 2 has TC1784 processor with different memory layout.
Can someone transfer immo data from one to another?
I also have ODIS, but with old 5054A VAS interface, i don`t know if that still works online for immo adaptation.

Hello, today I read the ecu of dcu15 iveco, with new transdata from dimsport, I read mcu and then I made mod file and flashed the ecu with the correct checksum, but now the ecu has no communication with the truck and the diagnostic tool, I need to diagnose the ecu in my office, does anyone have the pinout to make diagnosis, or has anyone had the same problem, attached photo of the ecu
Here is my experience with trying to repair a noisy bearing in a w205 steering rack. This information is for C-Class built between 2014 and 2021. But it can apply to other models built in the same period that also have electric steering racks.
Please note this information is for educational purposes, and any repairs are done at your own risk.
I'm sure some of this information might help others, so let's begin. Here are some important points:
- Firstly, there is no difference mechanically between facelift and prefacelift w205 steering racks.
- the teeth on the electric motor between facelift and prefacelift is also the same.
- All work or repairs on the steering rack requires it to be removed from the car completely. You cannot repair the rack while it is still on the car.
- Make sure wheels are in straight position, and use the seat belt to hold the steering wheel in place so it doesn't turn and damage the clock spring.
- Always mark the straight position on the rack once removed, so it be easy to set it back into correct position.
- There is a rubber belt that connects to electric motor and drives the sprocket with bearing on the rack.
- You can replace a noisy steering rack without replacing the electric motor, you just swap over your original electric motor so that you don't have to do any coding or calibration.
- The electric motor is secured to the rack using 3 x T30 bolts, and there is room for adjustment for the tension on the rubber belt if needed. (There is a small T20 at the bottom also)
- The main bearing in the rack is known to be problematic and starts being very noisy upon turning the steering wheel. There is no way to lubricate it, it must be replaced.
- It is possible to replace the rubber belt inside the rack if it breaks. You do have dismantle almost the whole rack to gain access. Rack ends need to come off.
- You can access the main bearing and rubber belt by removing the cap held on by 5 x E12 bolts.
- DO NOT UNWIND THE WHOLE BEARING and SPROCKET FROM THE ROD. There are tiny bearing metal balls that will escape and are very difficult to put back if you try to remove the whole assembly.
- You can replace the noisy bearing without unwinding the whole bearing with sprocket off the rod. Just loosen the size 48 or 50 bolt holding the noisy bearing and it will come out.
- If you power steering has failed and steering is hard, always check the rubber belt inside the rack before opting to replace the whole rack.
- You can buy the rubber belt online if you need to replace it. The main bearing is also available online.
- If you replace the whole steering rack with electric motor, you will need to do coding and calibration.
You can avoid this by swapping the original electric motor from the original rack if it is still operational. (It's actually very easy to do)
- Make sure the rack is set to straight position before re-installing into the car.
